Farm Raid Bonus DKP (submitted by Leahm at 01:47am CDT) In order to balance our DKP in this farm-heavy raid season, we'll be giving new bonuses for productive farm raids. The bonus begins after five bosses are down in one sitting, and ramp up quickly after that. Also, there will be an extra .5 DKP bonus for finishing the top farm end bosses -- currently Archimonde and Illidan. 5 bosses = .1 DKP added to each of the first 5 6th boss = .2 DKP 7th boss = .3 DKP 8th boss and up = .5 DKP Remember, that's boss kills in one sitting. So, a raid that starts in Hyjal, clears it, and moves to Black Temple for two more bosses earns an extra 1.5 DKP. |

Zero-sum tweak (submitted by Leahm at 12:10pm CDT) In order to get our zero-sum system a little more zero-summy, we're changing the amount of DKP hoarded by the bank. That's the amount of DKP siphoned off to pay the new boss bonus. Right now, I've calculated that if we take half of the purchase DKP, instead of one-sixth, we'll be back on track. That's as opposed to decreasing the boss bonus. I'm not completely sure we'll stick with that choice, but I'll update this note if we change how we're doing it. |

DKP for non-guildies (submitted by pope master at 05:52pm CST) In an effort to curb loot flowing outside the guild for AP-run encounters non-guildies will be given 10 DKP to start. Non-guildies who have raided previously will retain their 20 DKP given initially and if a non-guildie joins he/she will be given the additional 10. We feel that this strikes a balance between rewarding outsiders for their contributions and help while retaining the enough items to help us progress forward. |

Welcome to APCD DKP (submitted by Leahm at 09:51am CDT) In these alliance raids, we'll be bidding zero-sum DKP for items. Here's how it will work: Each new player starts with 20 DKP. DKP is tracked by player, not by character. Item auctions: You can only bid what you have. Bidding starts at 5 DKP, and increases in increments of 5 DKP. The maximum bid is 50 DKP. Ties will be broken by rolls. If you don't like that, bid higher. There will be times when you have more DKP than you can bid. For instance, you might have 21 DKP... but because of 5 by 5, you'll only be able to bid 20. Gaining DKP: The primary source of DKP in the system is the DKP spent by people buying items. When Marvin buys an item for 30 DKP, it's divided among the people in the raid as income. In this case, each person would get 1.00 DKP. Fractional DKP is fine, but see below about banked shares. New bosses -- bosses the raid has not yet killed twice -- will give a DKP bonus of 1.00 DKP to the raid. This value will be adjusted as we get used to the average value of farm raids. The new boss bonus will be paid for by a DKP bank. This bank gets 5 shares of any loot DKP earned by the raid. We may adjust the number of shares upward or downward, as well, in order to get the bank's DKP balanced as closely to zero as possible. |
